Curlew Cam 2018
Curlew nest monitoring and protection is in full swing at the moment with several nests fenced and 50 eggs safely installed in incubators - fingers crossed for a good hatch.
Here is a link to our current Curlew Cam nest in a silage field in South Shropshire, enjoy it while you can!

This is fantastic Tony but a bit addictive!
ReplyDeleteI think that is the idea ;)
DeleteYup,fantastic and addictive. My favourite bird since childhood. Thank you for your dedication.
ReplyDeleteHi Tony,
ReplyDeleteIf you are incubating eggs artificially you might be interesting in using some software that I do for incubation management.
It manages the weight loss of your eggs, amongst other things. I'll happy donate a copy to your project if you are interested.
You can see it on www.visualaims.com
Hi David,
Deleteyes, I would be very interested in a copy. We have a licence for the next three years ay least so would be very helpful.
OK if you drop me an email to whom I should send the download details and licence file and also whom you want the licence made out to I'll send the details on how to download it across. Probably a bit late for this year but I'm n=back in teh UK mid June so I can go though it with whoever is doing your incubation and show them how to use it so they can get the best out of it for next season. For this year you could use it to control the weight loss in teh eggs.
DeleteHi David, that's brilliant, will drop you an email now. Many thanks indeed.
DeleteFantastic! Are you going to webcam any Nightjars Tony?
ReplyDeleteHi David, that would be amazing, unfortunately live streaming is pretty expensive and we as a group do not have that sort of funding I'm afraid.
DeleteWell done to all involved.
