After Tony found a pair of Tawny Owls roosting in a barn a couple of months ago, we finally got round to have a go at catching them today. Our luck was in as both of them flew straight into a well placed mist net.
As you can see from the photo below, one of them was extremely grey in colour. It'll be interesting to see what colour the chicks will be next year if they stay and breed.

I just scheduled a tweet to this post (from @PaulSeligNature), and realised I'd used the Hootlet from HootSuite! It's my usual tool for scheduling tweets etc.
ReplyDeleteIt would be good if you had a twitter presence so you could be directly referenced ('mentioned'). The you'd be able to see who was talking about you....
Hi Paul, no plans as yet to start twittering I'm afraid, think we'll just stick with this for now.
